DivKid - Octopussy Remix

The Octopussy EP is the 32nd release for DivKid's own label Lung Filler Records. The original track features a heavy triplet driven electro bass with a sci-fi synth melody and chord progression. Think future space synth porno, mixed with filthy electro and you're about there. The EP features the original and radio edit along with remixes from Dirty System, E-Cologyk, Electronic Beach, Aylen, Tron Sepia, Twisted Bass and Mister Bean. Together with the remixes the EP crosses electro, house, techno and progressive.

The original mix is a tough sounding electro track driven by a pulsing triplet bassline. Huge drums smash through the mix with the drive provided from the low end movement. The track moves into a hypnotic chord progression and sci fi style lead synth melody. If knightrider was pimping some dark streets with electro blaring out of his car this would be it!

Dirty System kicks off his remix with the main melody and chord progression building intensity, before dropping into some seriously filthy electro! He throws huge bass hits, bends and wobbles over a driving electro beat.

E-Cologyk builds a DJ friendly intro before the first drop, which introduces the original sounds and parts. The original parts are deceptive as he follows with a peaks of dirty Brazilian cut up electro.

Electronic Beach takes a bold step to the side with his remix. It features the original triplets parts slowed down with a haunted and spooky feel. The original synth melody is replaced with a chilling bell lead sound. This would fit perfectly into a chilling thriller film.

Aylen builds a DJ style intro with hits and chords from the original before hitting on jacking house rhythms and new sounds. His track features electro style synth hits with a sub bass groove underpinning the track. One for the house DJs as much as Electro heads.

Tron Sepia builds a remix that feels like a melting pot of ideas. The arrangement features some unexpected twists and turns with lots of electro and house style rhythms and synths.

Twisted Bass kicks off with tech-house style grooves that move into a more progressive mash up of new parts and the original sounds. Twisted Bass Samples a big chunk of the original, then builds his own version before, on-top and after it.

Mister Bean builds a familiar electro DJ intro before introducing the original parts. He follows with a unison chord and bass hook spatter with bass wobbles and pitch bends, Brazilian style.
