Pitch Twit & Bonn Lewis - Splinter Bomb EP

The 'Splinter Bomb EP' will be the 21st release for Lung Filler Records and sees the return of Pitch Twit & Bonn Lewis to the label after the release of 'Bulletproof' from last year and previous Bonn Lewis remixes. The original track features sound from both artists that melt together to form a techno sound for the collaboration, along side remixes from Deep Infect, Ell-Er and P-Styles.

The original track is a dark swung techno tune, with evil undertones that grow throughout the track. A modulating arpeggio line works throughout the track, moving from the front to the back of the mix as it filters and detunes. Soft pads contrast the driving groove of the track as the arrangement drives forward. The growling bass builds through the main body of the arrangement, providing tension and an evil under pinning to the track before fully rising in frequency content to a monstrous peak of distorted bass madness. This tune is building towards peak time techno and will definitely whip a dancefloor into a frenzy.

Deep Infect strip the track back into the tuned down version of the chord stutters to create a sexy tribal influenced tech-house groove. The track moves through evolving percussion and vocal stabs that form a DJ friendly intro. A smooth arrangement that's sure to keep people moving rather than waiting for a breakdown. The original tension and dissonance form a dark backdrop that contrasts the smooth house grooves, without ever compromising the groove and style of the track. Various tribal vocal hits and shouts add the final colours and flavours to the track as it moves across a strong and slowly evolving structure.

Ell-Er cuts up the original chords and re-arranges them into a stuttering rhythm that forms a dark texture that pedals throughout the track. Strong a crisp percussion builds throughout the intro, before the track moves into it's main body. The percussion is heavily swung with rolls that sounds like a wonkey marching snare drum pattern. Various sounds and textures build through the background of the mix and across the stereo space, which keeps the arrangement evolving.

P-Styles sticks close to the original sound of the track, making full use of the original sounds provided. He builds a solid intro of kick drum and the original chord stutters, pad and modulating arpeggio. A short drum break introduces the acid bassline. Swelling reverbs pump through the background of the mix, slowly moving alongside white noise swooshes in and out of the mix, before the percussion hits full flow with a pumping ride cymbal and solid 16th note hi hats. This is a solid arrangement that mixes new sounds and textures against the original parts. Perfect for anyone looking for an extended mix with a heavy injection of acid!
