The Bubbles EP is the debut release for Ell-Er on Lung Filler Records and is the label 13th release to date. The EP features 2 original tracks (If You Die and Negative Positive) with an alternative mix of the second track. The original tracks root themselves firmly within the genre tag 'Tech-House', while the 'Feeling Small Mix' of Negative Positive is a more progressive house take on the original.

If You Die -
The track starts with strong, simple percussion and a big synth hit that morphs into a swelling and side-chaining reverb. Long vocal effects bring in new sounds and transitions as percussion builds and a sparse delay hit grabs the listeners attention. Long held string notes lead the track into the breakdown as the percussion winds down. As the track opens up, the reverbs and synth hits modulate and filter, leaving room for the vocal to soar above the mix and the delay trails to build back into the main groove of the track.

Negative Positive -
Sharp drums and throbbing percussive bass open the track with a strong driving feel from the start. Reverberant synth hits enter in a similar fashion to 'If You Die' but this time the synth has a more gritty sawtooth wave sounds. Strings enter and immediately hint at the main themes within the track. The track opens up and slowly moves into a breakdown, filtering parts of the track rather than removing them, which keeps a strong driving feel. The parts filter and modulate, which gives the whole section an ever changing feel that leaves the listener uncertain with what's to come. Drums and synth hits slam back in with new percussion and delays that drive the track forward. Finally winding down the track ends in a similar sound and style to the intro.

Negative Positive (Feeling Small Mix) -
The track starts with a different feel to the original, with a deeper kick and reverse noises sucking the sounds in and out of each other. The sounds move through changing delays and textures, before introducing a deep bass sound that also introduces a new chord theme. Building through changing textures and effects, the main piano theme is introduced, which brings with it a new string section. The track works it's way through a changing arrangement like the original, before winding down to the strings and low end kick and bass.
