Paul D Lewis - Vertigo Feeling EP

Vertigo Feeling by Paul D Lewis will be the eighth release for DivKid's record label Lung Filler Records. The EP consists of the original track with three great remixes to form a strong dark minimal EP.

The original track is a dark brooding stripped back techno track. With a vast sense of space and atmosphere, the track keeps the textures moving while firmly rooting itself within the term 'minimal'. Ghoulish voices and groans colour the track while the arrangement is smooth throughout.

Minimatronik's remix works heavily from the original, keeping the dark textures and atmosphere. New pitched percussion modulates and varies throughout the track before reaching a spacious breakdown, that introduces new glitch sounds and resonant synth hits.

Tosi works the original textural ideas, while adding a heavier sounding kick drum and open hi hat that gives the track a new more 'relentless' feel. With no obvious bassline, the textures modulate and take the forefront demanding attention, without staying on one idea for too long.

Minimum creates a tighter sound by using shorter percussive sounds and a more sparse approach to the spacious effects. Textures move and grow around certain sounds but never take the forefront of the mix. New synth hits glitch and pan throughout to create a wide varying track.
