Subtrakill - Exhaustificated
The 38th release from Lung Filler Records is the 'Exhaustificated EP' by Subtrakill. It features the original electro/progressive track, along with an electro remix from DivKid and techno remixes from P-Styles and Alex Grekov.
The original track builds a tough drum groove with percussive bass hits. As the track grows, a deep modulating synth line pedals through the beat, slowly filtering up from the background of the mix.
DivKid builds a DJ friendly percussive intro that builds melodic elements from the original, before dropping into a dirty distorted bass groove. The track builds, slowly sticking with the theme of the original, while introducing new harmonies, chords and the original melody line.
P-Styles strips back the original elements and builds a massive tech-house/techno groove. Full to the brim with live and electronic sounding percussion. Original synth lines mix through the background of the mix while a new sub bass line underpins the whole track.
Alex Grekov kicks off his remix with old school techno drum sounds, before introducing a stuttering synth hook based around the original bass track. Synth and percussion develops through an arrangement with lots of a twists and turns, before introducing the main melody line.
