Bayleigh featuring Hektor Thillet - Pride EP


The 'Pride EP' will be the 21st release for Lung Filler Records. Bayleigh has conjured up a dark stripped back techno tune, featuring vocals from Hektor Thillet. The EP features the original mix along with the remixes from Monktec, Paul D Lewis and P-Styles.

Original Mix
The original track starts with a percussive DJ friendly intro that introduces the percussive hits and thumps that colour the track. Textures and hits build as percussion drives the track forward with subtle hints of vocal appearing, before they appear fully later in the track. The sounds modulate and change throughout to create a diverse track, that plays out across a smooth arrangement.

Paul D Lewis
Paul builds tension through the intro with droning bass, noise swells and stuttering percussion. The track slowly introduces the main drums before the kick drops and the track moves forward. Paul's gritty lo fi drum sound work on top of arpeggiated synth lines and throbbing bass. The track steps up and down with no drastic changes, which gives the track a smooth arrangement that is coloured by a ghoulishly pitched down sample from the original vocal.

P-Styles Remix
P-styles builds a heavily swung percussive intro with hits and samples from the original track working in the background of the mix, before dropping the main synth hook. The track introduces textures and modulating sounds across the driving percussion, before introducing the vocal over the beat. Layers and sounds are dropped and re-introduced across a dynamic and driving arrangement.

Monktec Remix
Monktec makes use of the original parts and works his remix close to the original; with synth hits and rhythms from the original working over new percussion. The vocal features throughout and are doubled by a dark pitched down version working in unison with the original vocals. Noises and textures modulate throughout moving between the front and back of the mix.
